I had the complete pleasure of working with my client Angie this spring and summer on a Custom Party Plan for her daughter’s first birthday party. Angie’s daughter’s name is Violet, so we agreed that a purple-toned flower fairy party was in order. Her party was this Saturday and I’m so thrilled to be able to bring you the photos. I think Angie did an amazing job!

Here is Miss Violet in her darling felt birthday crown from Dream Child Studios. (Her outfit was handmade by a family member.)

At the front door, guests were welcomed by this purple gingham rag wreath by Rag Wreath Boutique.

The party was inside and outside. In the back yard, Angie created a fairy tree, complete with a fairy door, bridge and toadstools from Causalee. The tulle poms hanging from the tree branches are from my favorite Titi’s Tutus.

Angie’s dad cut the tree stump seats for her, which look great. But of course, what makes me smile about this photo are what the boys brought to the fairy party!

On each of the children’s tables outside, Angie had a different centerpiece. Fairy wands on one, bubbles on another, and a “floral” arrangement of suckers on the third.

Inside, Angie set up this beautiful dessert table, topped by the fairy bower I made for her.

Treats included toadstool cookies, brownie bites, cake pops, violet marshmallows, white chocolate stuffed raspberries and violet lollipops. Buttercream fairy cakes are finished with toadstool fondant toppers from Edible Details. Angie’s dad made her the cake pop stand from a tree branch!

The cake also features a fairy topper from Edible Details.

I think Miss Violet enjoyed her smash cake!

Angie served “fairy nectar” for the kids and lavender lemonade for adults. She used mason jar kits from ThePaperedNest. The napkins are wrapped with a party circle from Love Creation Gal, who designed the invitation and all the party printables.

On her dining room table, Angie made a runner from purple gingham, then added a fairy village under a cloche – love that! She’ll be able to use the cloche for decorating at every season.

I lucked into finding a set of four violet tea cups and saucers at an antique store, which Angie used to hold candies. (The little purple vases are from Hobby Lobby.)
