This weekend, my sister-in-law and I hosted a bridal shower for our nephew’s fiance, the very sweet Ashley. Since the party was so close to Valentine’s Day, and Ashley likes a little vintage flair, we went with a hearts and doilies theme. This was very much a hand-made party and one you could easily recreate.

One of the decor elements for our upcoming Valentine’s Bridal Shower will be doily poms, hanging from a chandelier over the dining room table. So of course, I turned to Pinterest and Google for tutorials. I found almost exactly what I needed from Petticoats & Peplums. With a simple tweak, I made these into full pom balls. Each pom balls costs only about $2 to make.
One of my sweet sponsors, Cupcake Wishes & Birthday Dreams recently introduced her XOXO printables collection for Valentine’s, and it was so cute, I immediately asked Keisha if I could share it with you. I’m still working on decorations for a Valentine’s Bridal Shower I’ll be co-hosting in February. You’ve seen my drink bottle wraps and banner here. Today, I’m creating a little art piece. This is another easy, quick and inexpensive project.
Every Christmas I wind up with odd remainders of wrapping paper that I hope will fit some gift but never does. I usually wind up rolling these scraps up and saving them for next year, when they are still too small to do any good. This year, it occurred to me to find a new use for the paper leftovers: Valentine’s Day decorations.
