When my two turned four, they wanted two different birthday parties. I split the difference by creating a dress-up party, so each girl could dress in the theme of her choice. Their friends came in costumes, and wore ours, adding loads of jewelry. It was a blast, so I’ve re-created the party to share it with you.

For my twins’ 6th birthday, they wanted a Tinkerbell party. I feel overwhelmed by Disney and off-the-shelf party themes, so I talked up the idea of a “flower fairy” party instead. They loved the concept, and choose our colors — pink and green.
